When your offspring inspire you to live your life
A movie which makes your heart cheerful, happy and want to the see more of the father love
What happens when a junkyard sparing robot can save your whole life but you won’t see any worth and you don’t pick it up. Or lets say you have a life changing robot where it can win all the matches but you are too confident, and without any prior experience you take it to fight and hope it wins.
Movie is not just about the boxing, its how the world changes and you adapt the changes but matches are win by previous experiences you had and if you adapt and add those experiences you win.
Lets go on how i feel about the movie, the main lead - Charlie (aka Huge Jackman) is a selfish, ignorant, holds on previous losses in his memories and feels he can forget and move on by wining the matches but can’t.
He is also flashy as he knows the game but every time he does it leads to downfall.
Movie takes turn when he tries to sell his son to his own sister-in-law but it quick vanishes because he was to hasty. He has to take care of his own son for sometime and it gets interesting when his son(Max aka Dakota Goyo) is just same as him. Even though he hates his dad for not taking his care he also admires him. Charli who is self centered in his entire life ones he see his son similar to him he snaps out.Max had similar hobbies like his dad and he was better than him in some sort too.
At the ending we see everything was going fine father son bonding but like always happiness don’t last too much his son is taken by his sister-in-law, his money has been stolen and he is in square zero. I feel its like “Pursuit of Happiness” where protagonist has no money but only difference is that in those had times he had his son and it was his motivation. But in our Charli has nothing just a alone guy but we can that now he trying to solve all his previous mistakes and try to be a good example for his son.
The last scene were he didn’t win the fight but he got his purpose in life.
Sometimes i feel what does a kid want
a house with swimming pool, cool toys
or a just a struggling who does not have anything to give just a loser experiences. Two perspective: father don’t want his kid to suffer from what he is suffering and wants to give him best life as possible but will not be around,
kid want no fancy stuff just his father being his side even though his father have to think what to eat tomorrow. Quit confusing for me which side take .
